                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ADMINISTRATOR 
                   OF THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS TO ENTER 
                   INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF 
                   TENNESSEE, DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENT AND 
                   CONSERVATION, DIVISION OF SOLID WASTE 
                   MANAGEMENT, RELATIVE TO THE CLOSURE/POST 
                   CLOSURE PLAN FOR THE SUMMITT LANDFILL, FOR A 
                   CONSIDERATION OF SIXTEEN MILLION, TWO 
                   HUNDRED FIFTY-TWO THOUSAND, FOUR HUNDRED 
                   SEVENTY-TWO AND NO/100 DOLLARS 
                   ($16,252,472.00).
                   
                   
                                                     
                   
                   
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That the Administrator of the Department 
       of Public Works be and is hereby authorized to enter into an 
       Agreement with the State of Tennessee, Department of Environment 
       and Conservation, Division of Solid Waste Management, relative to 
       the closure/post closure plan for the Summitt Landfill, for a 
       consideration of $16,252,472.00.
